Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna Joins KOGROMA on Comprehensive Assessment of Asaya-Ogidi-Ayere Road in Preparation for Revitalization
On 12th November 2024, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, accompanied the Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA) team, led by Engineer Bolaji Taiye, in their thorough assessment of the Asaya-Ogidi-Ayere road. This assessment marks an important step in improving infrastructure, enhancing road safety, and boosting economic connectivity for the communities along this route.
The visit focused on evaluating the current state of the road and gathering data for a detailed analysis that will guide the forthcoming revitalization project.
During the assessment, the KOGROMA team and Alhaji Haruna made stops at the palaces of the Ologidi of Ogidi and the Alayere of Ayere where prayers were offered for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration, the leadership of Ijumu Local Government and Kogi State.
Alhaji Haruna, speaking at the palaces, expressed sincere Appreciation to Governor Ododo for braking a jinx and restoring hopes to the people along the route. He noted that the road was one of the first in Okunland, stressing on how it’s functionality will bring back assiduous development to communities along the area. Alhaji Ibrahim expressed his commitment to working closely with KOGROMA and other stakeholders to ensure that the project meets the needs of the people. He emphasized that improving infrastructure is essential for local development and pledged ongoing collaboration with both state agencies and community leaders to ensure the successful completion of the road project.
