The Honourable Commissioner of Finance,Budget and Economic Planning, who doubles as a frontline stakeholder of the progressive in Kogi West, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has extended his congratulatory message to all the 21 newly sworn in Local government Chairmen, vice chairperson and counselors across the 239 wards of the confluence state.
Asiwaju, in his message, extols His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, as a core democrat and a development enthusiast by allowing the people at the grassroot to elect who governs them, because the Governor believes firmly that adequate dividends of democracy will only flow down to the people if a democratically built structure is allowed to thrive.
He felicitates the 21 local government chairmen, 21 vice chairpersons, and the 239 counsellors on their resounding victory at the poll and subsequent swearing in by His Excellency, saying he enjoined them to be the true and responsive representative of the people, where the collective needs and advancement of the people is placed above self and avarice of few. Asiwaju specifically congratulated the Chairmen, vice chairpersons, and counsellors from Kogi West, which he says underscores not only the unity and cohesion of the senatorial districts but proof that APC is the party to beat in the zone.

The Honourable Commissioner implores the new council leaders to be fiscally disciplined but at the same time ensure the needs of the masses are met within the limit of the resources available. Every of your projects, programmes, and policies must not be ultra vires or seen aversive to the consolidation and continuity drive of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA . This is an administration that prides on the dignity and advancement of the people. Every of your steps must be geared towards the same purpose.
