Kogi Council Poll: Engr. Joseph Congratulate Olokun, CAA-G, Dare, Others Says Gov Ododo’s Performance, APC choice of candidates responsible for landslide victory
I extend my warmest congratulations to the newly elected Chairmen; Hon. Tosin Olokun, chairman elect of Yagba West LGA, Comr. Abdullahi Ademu, chairman elect of Lokoja LGA, Hon. Monday Joshua Dare, chairman elect of Yagba East LGA, Hon. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, Esq, chairman elect of Kabba-Bunu LGA, Hon. Haruna Ibrahim, chairman elect of Ijumu LGA, Hon. Destiny Ademola Bello, chairman elect of Mopamuro LGA and Hon. Abdulmalik Musa, chairman elect of Kogi LGA, Vice Chairpersons, and Councillors across the seven Local Government Areas of Kogi West Senatorial District following their landslide victory in the just-concluded council elections. The success recorded in these elections, which were conducted across the 239 Wards and 21 Local Government Areas of the state on the 19th of October, 2024, is a testament to the overwhelming support and confidence reposed in the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the good people of Kogi State.
This outstanding victory, with the APC emerging victorious in all 239 Councilorship seats and 21 Chairmanship seats, highlights not only the competence of the candidates fielded but also the performance of our great party in the state. The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) has once again demonstrated its capacity to conduct free, fair, and credible elections, ensuring that the will of the people prevails.
I particularly appreciate His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his visionary leadership, which continues to steer Kogi State toward greater development and prosperity. His administration’s continuity and consolidation of progressive policies of former governor Yahaya Bello’s New Direction, is maintaining a solid foundation for success, and I am confident that under his leadership, Kogi State will continue to flourish.
I also want to recognize the hard work and dedication of all stakeholders in the electoral process, whose commitment to the ideals of democracy has been instrumental in securing this resounding victory. The APC’s dominance in this election is a reflection of our party’s strong governance, the quality of our candidates, and the trust we have built with the people.
Once again, congratulations to the newly elected officials. I am optimistic that you will discharge your duties with excellence and remain committed to serving the best interests of your communities, upholding the values of transparency, accountability, and good governance that define our party.
Together, we will continue to build on the achievements of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration and deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi State.
