APPRECIATION AND RECOGNITION
The Kabba Students’ Union (KSU) under the dynamic leadership of Comrade Olubiyo Sylvester is proud to announce the resounding success of its recent Career Sensitization Program. The initiative, aimed at promoting academic excellence and skill acquisition, focused on critical areas such as CV writing, social media usage, and digital skills development.
This groundbreaking program was designed to empower students with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving academic and professional landscapes. Comrade Sylvester and his dedicated team had the privilege of visiting various secondary schools in the Kabba community, where they were warmly welcomed by both staff and students.
Key highlights from the sensitization program included:
- Introduction to Digital Skills: Students were introduced to essential digital skills, with an emphasis on how to acquire and develop these skills for both academic and career success.
- Effective Use of Social Media for Academics: The students were educated on how to leverage social platforms like LinkedIn, Google Workspace, and YouTube to enhance their academic performance and professional development.
- Establishment of a Physical Training Center: A significant outcome of the program was the introduction of a physical training center within the Kabba community. This center will provide students with the opportunity to receive hands-on training in digital skills, ensuring that they are equipped for the demands of the modern world.
The Kabba Students’ Union extends its sincere appreciation to the schools for their warm reception, as well as to the exceptional speakers and facilitators who contributed their time and expertise. Their efforts have left a lasting impact on the students, helping to shape a brighter future for the younger generation in Kabba.
