Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael Welcomes Timothy Amupitan And Its Supporters From PDP To APC In Kabba/Bunu LGA
The ruling All Progressive Congress APC chairmanship candidate in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael, on Sunday welcomed a large number of new members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.
A former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kabba/Bunu LGA, Hon Timothy Amupitan aka Jojo with all his supporters has officially defected to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
During the event, Zacchaeus expressed his gratitude to the defectors for their decision to join the APC. He emphasised that their move was a testament to the growing confidence in the present administration’s leadership and the APC’s vision for the future of Kogi State.
Speaking to the new members, the APC standard bearer stated, “Your decision to join the APC is a clear indication of your belief in our mission to transform Kabba/Bunu LGA. This is not just a political decision; it is a step towards ensuring that our dear local government area continues on the path of progress and development. I want to assure you all that you are now part of a family where everyone’s voice counts, and your contributions will be key as we approach the October 19 election.”
The APC chairmanship candidate encouraged the new members to actively participate in the party’s activities and to work together with existing members to ensure a resounding victory for the APC in the upcoming election.
“This is a crucial time for our local government area, and I urge you all to join hands with us. Together, we can secure a bright future for Kabba/Bunu LGA by ensuring that our party, the APC, continues to lead with integrity and dedication,” he said
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Hon Timothy Amupitan, a former council lawmaker, expressed his gratitude to Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael for the warm welcome into the APC fold.
“Today marks a significant turning point for us as we bid farewell to the PDP and fully embrace the progressive ideals of the APC. We are committed to mobilising grassroots support and working tirelessly to ensure the success of the APC in the upcoming election,” he stated.
“Our decision to leave the PDP was driven by a deep desire for real change and development in Kabba/Bunu LGA, and we believe that under the leadership of Zacchaeus, we can achieve this,” he added.
Zacchaeus also expressed his deep appreciation to the Bunu APC leaders for doing a wonderful job in harvesting all major opposition members for unity, peace and progress in Kabba/Bunu LGA.
The event saw the attendance of all political appointees from the Bunu District, along with loyal party members.
