Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael To Reinvigorate Security Architecture In Kabba/Bunu LGA, Meets Traditional Rulers, Kogi State Government Officials

As part of the continued efforts of the Kogi State government to nip crimes and criminality in the bud, the All Progressive Congress APC chairmanship candidate in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael on Thursday, called for more cooperation and collaboration among security agencies and traditional institution in the local government area, maintaining that such cooperation has helped to improve the security situation of the local government area.

He said that his administration would continue to provide necessary support and encouragement to the traditional rulers to keep our communities safe and secured. Zacchaeus, assured of his resolution not to shy-away from governance and provision of adequate security for the lives and property of residents, irrespective of constraints faced by all in the local government area.

He gave the assurance, during an enlarged security meeting with the traditional rulers and government appointees in the state, held at the Okeoffin Bunu town hall, which also recorded the attendance of all the traditional rulers in Bunu district of Kabba/Bunu LGA.

At the meeting, the APC flag bearer who stressed that security was one of the cardinal points of his administration, also pointed out that security also formed the content of his “transformative agenda”.

Zacchaeus, also appreciates the Kogi State Government under the able leadership of the Chief Servant, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his quick response and interventions in the ongoing military activities and operations in Kabba/Bunu LGA and indeed he is the chosen one.

“Your timely intervention to mobilize our military officers to the forest has yielded positive results which had helped to recapture our land from those negatives and bad elements.

I want to appeal again to all our traditional rulers that whatever information you have to pass to us, even at the highest level of government, I am ready to listen to you. Reach out to us and we will deal with the situation”, he said.

Also, he said that security cannot work without intelligent gathering and we cannot gather intelligence without getting closer to the people. In all of the troubled areas across our local government area, the royal fathers often get information before we do and that is why it is important that we must collaborate with you.

The State Security Adviser, Comdr Jerry Omodara rtd, in his submission requested collaborative efforts of traditional rulers, government officials and uniformed men that this administration will rely heavily on traditional rulers to improve the security of lives and property of our people.

“Our traditional rulers, like no other persons, are great custodians of values, ethos, and culture that can be explored to re-orientate the society and keep it secured”, Omodara stated.

Speaking at the event, the Obaro of Odo-Ape, HRH Oba Elijah Meseko congratulated the APC chairmanship candidate for his nomination and he prayed for a landslide victory at the poll.

“We are pleased to receive the news of your endorsement and subsequent affirmation of your candidature which is a true reflection of your passion and commitment to revive and restore the glory of our dear local government area.

“You’re a selfless individual that prioritizes the welfare of his people and I pray that God who sees your good heart will reward you with an unprecedented victory coming October 19”, the monarch said.

Some of the dignitaries that attended the security meeting include the Commissioner of Education, Hon Wemi Jones FCIB; Kabba/Bunu LGA APC Chairman, Comrade Solomon Jembawondo and Special Adviser on Security Matters (Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency), Hon Moses Olorunleke.
