Comrd Obafemi Rufus, Kogi State Education Commissioner’s Aide Encourages Citizens to Take Ownership of Government Projects in their communities
In a bid to promote community development and ensure the longevity of government projects and infrastructures, Comr. Rufus Obafemi, an aide to the Kogi State commissioner of education, has challenged citizens to take up the responsibility of maintaining these assets in their various communities.
During a recent community meeting, Comr. Obafemi emphasized the importance of citizens taking ownership of government projects, stating that they are the beneficiaries and therefore have a stake in ensuring their upkeep. He urged individuals to view government projects as their own and not rely solely on government officials for maintenance.

He further encouraged citizens to report any damages or issues with government projects to the appropriate authorities promptly, to prevent further deterioration and ensure timely repairs.
