Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael Commends Gov. Ododo On Infrastructure, Partnership With The ACReSAL For Erosion Control In Kabba

The ruling All Progressive Congress APC Chairmanship Candidate in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael has praised the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his administration infrastructure development strides.

Zacchaeus gave the commendation on Saturday during his courtesy visit to the Levant Company Construction Limited site, after inspecting projects in different locations within Kabba metropolis.

A press release by the former Caretaker Chairman Media Assistant, Omofa John, quoted the APC flag bearer as having applauded the Kogi State Governor for his state’s collaborative efforts in partnership with the ACReSAL of the World Bank through the federal government on projects sited in the local government area.

His words: “Kogi has clearly shown it is an example for other states to emulate in fast-tracking partnership between the World Bank and federal government on issues of development. And I commend you.

“What we have witnessed today is really big progress; there has been a lot of damage regarding erosion in the Kabba community. We had got it right this time; a well cemented and spacious drainage is ongoing; the progress is commendable,” he stated.

A site visit shows that there is improvement. Contractors are on site, and we are having good mileage. The progress of work is commendable.

The governor has given us maximum support, and you will see more progress,” Zacchaeus said.

Zacchaeus, who also lauded the Kogi helmsman, Ahmed Usman Ododo on his timely intervention to pay over Six Hundred Million Naira (600,000,000) as counterpart funds which helped on the resolution of compensation for the Project Affected Persons (PAPs) in Omigbo Kabba, noted that it has enabled the contractor to do a thorough work within the timeframe.

“At the federal road to Lokoja, I saw some noticeable progress have been made and we assure that help is on the way to complete the project before the stipulated time.”

The former caretaker chairman said he was on the site on a facility tour of some project sites with a view to assessing their level of progress.

In his remarks, Levant Company Construction Limited Site Director, Mr Collins thanked the APC chairmanship candidate for his prompt response to the Omigbo project by expressing his willingness to supervise the project to ensure a perfect work for the betterment of the Kabba residents.
