Hajia Rekiya Alfa Congratulates Governor Usman Ododo on Supreme Court Victory
In a heartfelt message, Hajia Rekiya Alfa, a distinguished member of the Governing Council of the University of Abuja, has extended her warm congratulations to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, on his recent Supreme Court victory. The court’s ruling, which confirmed Governor Ododo’s position as the rightful leader of Kogi State, has been hailed as a triumph for democracy and the rule of law in Nigeria.
Hajia Rekiya Alfa, known for her unwavering commitment to good governance, expressed her joy on behalf of herself and other members of the University of Abuja Governing Council. She also congratulated Her Excellency, Alhaja Sefiyat Usman, the First Lady of Kogi State, as well as the entire government and people of Kogi State for this significant victory.
In her statement, Hajia Alfa emphasized that the Supreme Court ruling is not just a legal endorsement but also a divine confirmation of Governor Ododo’s leadership. She noted that the decision reflects both the perfect will of God and the undeniable choice of the people of Kogi State. “This is a good development for the advancement of democracy in our nation Nigeria,” she remarked.
Hajia Alfa highlighted Governor Ododo as a model of transparent, accountable, competent, and committed leadership—the kind of leadership that Kogi people aspire to and deserve. She pointed out that the victory is a clear indication that the people of Kogi overwhelmingly supported him during the November 11 elections, and no opposition can challenge that mandate.
