Senator Sunday Karimi Supports Farmers in Kabba-Bunu with 349 Bags of NPK and Urea Fertilizers
In a bid to bolster agricultural productivity and contribute to food security in Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Karimi has made a significant contribution to farmers in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area. As part of his ongoing efforts to ensure sustainable development in his constituency, Senator Karimi has provided 349 bags of NPK and Urea fertilizers to farmers across all 15 wards of the local government.
Each of the 15 wards received 20 bags of fertilizer, while additional bags were allocated to local farmers’ associations to ensure equitable distribution. The fertilizers have been delivered and are ready for distribution to beneficiary farmers, who are expected to use them to boost their crop yields as soon as the rains return after the August break.
Senator Karimi, who represents Kogi West at the National Assembly, has consistently emphasized his commitment to grassroots development. He highlighted that this distribution of fertilizers is just one of many initiatives aimed at alleviating the challenges faced by farmers in his district. By providing essential farming inputs, Senator Karimi aims to enhance agricultural productivity, reduce hunger, and improve the overall well-being of his constituents.
Representing Senator Karimi at the distribution event, Hon. Owoniyi Stephen Femi expressed deep appreciation for the Senator’s unwavering dedication to the people. He praised the Senator for his exceptional contributions, love, support, and the quality of representation he has consistently demonstrated.
The event was also attended by Hon. Jembawondo Solomon, the Kabba/Bunu APC party chairman, who commended Senator Karimi for his initiative, recognizing it as a significant step towards improving the lives of local farmers. Additionally, Mayeko Sunday Johnson, Chairman of the Farmers Association of Nigeria, Kabba-Bunu chapter, received five bags of fertilizer on behalf of the association. He expressed gratitude for the Senator’s support, acknowledging the positive impact this gesture would have on their agricultural activities.
