ADC lawmaker Leke Abejide threatens to decamp to APC if frustration persist

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Customs and member representing Yagba/Mopa Moro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Leke Abejide said on Monday, July 29 that he may be forced to decamp to the All Progressives Congress (APC) if his party, the Africa Democratic Congress becomes too hot for him.

Speaking at a news conference in Abuja, Abejide who is the highest political office holder on the platform of the ADC said it we unfortunate that the National Chairman of the ADC, Chief Ralph Nwosu will take a position on nation issues without consulting him.

He however said that he remain a member of the ADC and is not planning to leave the party for now, but will only do so if things becomes unbearable.

He said “All my leaders are in APC and I was the leader of APC in my place and majority are APC people because it was not in my choice to leave APC, it was as a result of fustration and what led to the problem is that our late leader died Late Prince Abubakar Audu and we believed that the next person to take the seat was James Faleke to take the seat as Governor
“ You all knew the story those of you that are journalists and when it didn’t happen we agreed that is how God wanted it and we thought we could work together and they drove us out and this is where I landed where I am “

Hon Leke added “APC was not known that way, if you see my own election it was like independent candidate. I was alone and I won so if the frustration also comes from National Chairman, I will go to APC because you cannot abuse a father figure”

“I have been with Asiwaju more than 50 years and I am still with him till Tomorrow”
“Where we have problem more is the presidential election, I supported Tinubu and our National Chairman supported Labour (Obi) so that’s where we have problem, so anything you see is coming from the opposition and if it’s becoming so hot I will leave the place and go to my Home “he added
