Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael Welcomes Arc Idris Salman To APC, Urges Him To Be An Agent Of Change
The Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Caretaker Chairman, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael has welcomed Hon (Arc.) Idris Salman to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The first-term House of Representatives member, on Tuesday dumped the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the APC. Salman said his defection is in the interest of his people and the state. He also hailed the leadership of Governor Ododo Usman.
Meanwhile, in a statement by his SA on New Media, Omofa John, the caretaker chairman welcomed the lawmaker to the party, urging him to work with party leaders in the state to bring real change to the people.
The Chairman said the PDP, ADC, NNPP and LP had been losing important leaders to the APC since 2019, urging others who are still in those parties but want the progress of the state to jump ship to the APC in order to move the state forward.
Zacchaeus hailed Arc Idris Salman as an experienced politician, who will bring his wealth of experience to bear, insisting that the All Progressives Congress remains one big family in the state.
The Chairman said he will continue to deliver dividends of democracy to Kogi people to give his party a good platform to continue to dominate the political landscape of the Confluence State. He affirmed that the defection of political figures to the party across the state testifies to the renewed confidence of the people in the APC-led government in the state.
