KOGI STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (TECHNICAL), MOPA, COMMENCES ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES AT NEW SITE
The Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, has officially flagged off academic activities at its new site, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s history.
The Provost, Dr. (Mrs) Jagboro Olusola Victoria , expressed her gratitude to the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Honourable Commissioner of Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, and other stakeholders for their support.
She specially appreciated the contributions of His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, the Elulu of Mopa; Honourable Destiny Ademola Caretaker Chairman Mopa Amuro, Chief Clarence Olafemi and members of Mopa community for their unwavering support to the College.
Dr. Jagboro commended the Management and Staff for their dedication and expertise, welcoming students to the new site, which represents a fresh start and a chance to shape their future.
The institution she said ‘aims to create a community that values academic excellence, innovation, and service to humanity, with a focus on inclusivity, support, and the pursuit of knowledge.’
Despite the progress, the institution according to the Provost still faces challenges, including the need for office accommodations, classrooms, a borehole, and modern toilet facilities. She appeals to stakeholders and benefactors for support in addressing these challenges.
With the support of all, She noted, the institution is confident in overcoming these challenges and creating a conducive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.
