Bunu Elite Club (BEC) paid a courtesy visit to the office of hon Wemi Ojo Jones (FCIB) the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology Kogi State.
The club led by the chairman Hon Oniwaye Olusegun John Ogede1 said they have come to familiarize with the commissioner and also to congratulate him on his recent appointment to serve as a commissioner under the administration of Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo, the executive Governor of Kogi State.
The chairman enumerated the vision and mission of the club to hon Wemi Jones. He noted that the club is predominantly serving as a voice for the youth and the vulnerables actors Bunu land.
It is worthy of note to know that the education sector has witnessed unprecedented transformation under the leadership of Hon Wemi Jones in the last four years. The establishment of two state Universities under four years is the first of its kind in Kogi (Confluence University of Science and Technology and Kogi State University Kabba). Kogi State will always remember you for this for this great achievements.
Secondary school teachers recruitment is another area in the education sector of Kogi State that has witnessed significant transformation as students cannot be well equipped without qualified and adequate teachers in public school
GYB science model secondary school is another brain child of Hon Wemi Jones as a commissioner for Education,, Science and Technology Kogi State in the ladt four years.
Just to mention but a few among the numerous achievements recorded in the education sector under the leadership of Hon Wemi Jones were the driving force that motivated the club to celebrate their son having been reappointment in the same ministry for continuity and consolidation of the previous administration.
One of the club members Mr. John Ikuenayo appreciates the hon commissioner for his support towards the development of the education sector in the state and urges him to continue to do more simply because his previous performance necessitated his reappointment
Another member of the club Engr. Daniel Olorunmaiye appreciates Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for finding their son worthy to serve under his administration and pledge total support of the club towards the success of the commissioner in all ramifications
Hon. Wemi Jones in his reaction appreciates the club for coming to familiarize with him and to also encourage him on the little achievement recorded in his ministry. He promised to do more than he did in the last fours year with the support of Almighty God and his principal, Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo Hon Wemi Jones pledge to always give support to the club members when ever the need arises and most importantly in the area of Job employment any time the opportunity is opened.
The club presented him a congratulatory frame as a way of appreciating him and to encourage him to do more as all his efforts never went unnoticed.
