‘Welldone For The Palliatives’ Kabba-Bunu LGA Residents Tell Zacchaeus Dare Michael

Expressions of joy and relief were on the faces of teeming beneficiaries of the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area palliatives, as they picked their 50kg bags of rice. Their joy and relief were infectious as they stormed the venue for the distribution of the palliatives.

During the flagged off ceremony, the Kabba-Bunu LGA, Caretaker Chairman, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael commended the Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for this timely intervention to cushion the effect of the hardship.

All the 156 polling units across Kabba-Bunu LGA received 6 bags of 50kg rice per polling unit and it’s for all citizens regardless of your party affiliations.

Also, all the security agencies in the Local Government Area were beneficiaries of the food palliatives. Those agencies, groups and associations that benefited from the palliatives are; Police Area Command, Kabba Division A and B, Rapid Response Squad, Nigeria Military Army, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Nigeria Immigration Service Commission, Kogi State Vigilante Group, Kabba Prison Correctional Service, DSS, CID, Nigeria Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kabba Command and Division, Kabba-Bunu Hunters group, Kabba-Bunu Traditional Council of Chiefs, Ministry of Justice Kabba-Bunu Chapter, Local Government Management Team, Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Kabba-Bunu Youth Forum, Students Union, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) Kabba office, Kabba Mopol 70 Squadron, National Union Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Kabba-Bunu branch

Others include, APC Federal and State Working Executives, State and Local Government Officials, Kabba-Bunu Okada Association (NIMOTA, NIMOTU), Kabba Development Union, Bunu Development Association (BDA), Kabba-Bunu Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Muslim Community, Non Academic Staff Union (NASU) Kabba-Bunu Chapter, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Persons With Disabilities (PWD), Elders statemen, Political Leaders, Local Government and Wards Party Executives, Forum of Market Women, National Technicians Association (NATA), Kabba-Bunu Tailoring Association, Special Squad Hunters (Yanbanga).

A clergyman resident of the local government area who simply identified himself as Pst Amiola Samuel who benefited from the distribution of the palliative expressed satisfaction with the steps taken so far by the caretaker chairman to cushion the biting effects of harsh realities facing the country at the moment.

Another community leader, H.E Jimoh Banji said the governor has really done well by providing these palliatives for the residents.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries at ceremony for the flag- off of the distribution, Hon Joash Onemayin, Chairman Persons With Disabilities, PWD, commended the governor for the laudable programme saying, “on behalf of the PWD in Kogi State, particularly, in Kabba Bunu LGA, I just want to say thank you. You are a father with a golden heart. We appreciate all your support all the time. God will continue to guide you right throughout your administration and beyond.”
