Environment: Gov Ododo Is Committed To Improving On Serene, Healthy And Working Environment For Sustainable Development In Kogi State – Engr. Joseph
The Kogi State Commissioner for Environment and Ecological Management, Engr. Joseph Olusegun otherwise known as Engr. JOS, made a reiteration of the commitment of the 5th Executive Governor of Kogi State His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in maintaining the tempo of a serene, secured, prosperous and working environment for sustainable development in Kogi State.
The commissioner who made this revelation while attending to stakeholders across the state who came to pay him a courtesy visit today in his office, further reassured the people that the continuity and consolidation agenda of Governor Ododo is one birthed out of genuine interest of the people of Kogi State. One that according to him, will ensure that all legacy projects of the new direction administration must be leveraged on as a way of driving the state forward towards achieving enviable heights of development.
“Without a conducive environment, productivity can never be achieved. Knowing this, triggers the high level of importance Governor Ododo has attached to sustaining the tempo on the serenity of our environment to bringing forth obvious development bearing in mind that Kogi State is a State blessed with natural resources in abundance. On this note, it is clear enough that Governor Ododo’s administration is deliberate in building on the already laid foundation of his worthy predecessor by ensuring that these natural resources works for the people of the state without prejudice.”
The commissioner noted that it is the responsibility of everyone to stay vigilant and be proactive in defending with all level of patriotism our environment and its natural resources by ensuring that ecological problems are not left alone for government to handle. These are problems that we must all stay patriotic to providing lasting solutions. This is one of the very reasons I enjoy the privilege and favour of God through Governor Ododo to be here as the commissioner to head this ministry. Hence, as a ministry, we remain open to collaboration and partnership with all government agencies and private stakeholders in driving forward a productive and effect environment for all.
Engr. Joseph who officially resumed office today, rained praises to God Almighty for giving him the privilege to be found worthy to occupy this office. He also thanks the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, CON, and the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo who allowed God to use them in finding him worthy to serve as Commissioner. He promises to give nothing but his best in delivering the desired services as demanded of him by His Excellency, Alhaji Ododo and to the satisfaction of the people of Kogi State.
He thanked the Permanent Secretary, Directors and Other Management Staff of the ministry while charging them to doing more in ensuring that the blueprint of Governor Ododo on environment is achieved without excuses.
