Kabba/Bunu LGA, Caretaker Chairman, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael has expressed appreciation to Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the appointments of two illustrious citizens of the Local Government Area- Hon Wemi Jones FCIB as Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology and Comdr Jerry Omodara rtd, as State Security Adviser.
The Chairman who described the duo of Wemi Jones and Jerry Omodara as “very experienced, hardworking and capable”, said he was happy the Governor found them worthy of such significant positions in his government.
Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael, in a statement by his Special Assistant on New Media, Comr Omofa John, said he is optimistic that the state security adviser would excel in his role as, giving his antecedence as a decent, intelligent security expert and pragmatic politician.
While congratulating Hon Wemi Jones on his reappointment, which he described as a notable recognition of his steadfastness, political maturity and high level integrity, Chairman urged him to deploy more of his energy, contact, tact and political sagacity in building an excellent working relationship between the Educational institutions and the State Government, a development he said is crucial to the state’s political stability.
Similarly, the Caretaker Chairman, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael said Wemi’s wealth of experience as an educationist, seasoned stock broker and a human manager would add a great value to the administration’s commitment to run a people-oriented government.
He described the Okebukun-Ayede born as a highly decorated banker and an administrator per excellence who has continued to demonstrate great capacity in moving our educational sector to greater heights.
“This is a call to serve and I trust the duo of Wemi and Omodara’s capacities to make huge success of the new assignments the way they have done in previous assignments given to them.
