Withdrawal of Suspension Against Hon. Yori Afolabi Is A Result of My Reconciliation Move – Ijumu Caretaker Chairman
Barely two weeks after assuming office as Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alh. Haruna Ibrahim has made moves to unite party members of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The move, which has begun to yield positive result, cumulated in the withdrawal of the suspension of former Kogi State House of Assembly member, Hon. Yori Afolabi over allegations of anti-party conducts leveled against him in the aftermath of the 2023 General elections.
Recall that APC, Iyah/Ayeh Ward had made the decision to withdraw all the charges of anti-party activities levelled against former Lawmaker and party chieftain, Honorable Yori Afolabi, now a Federal Commissioner of National Population Commission (NPC) known in a letter.
The decision followed the intervention of the Caretaker Chairman, after he had promised to unite the Party to win future elections.
The Caretaker Chairman, while reacting to the withdrawal of the suspension, said the move was in line with his vision to make APC one big family in Ijumu LGA.
According to him, uniting Ijumu people irrespective of Party and religious affiliations is a continuous process.
