Ijumu Caretaker Chairman Salutes FUL VC, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi @ 60
The Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alh. Haruna Ibrahim has joined in congratulating the Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi on his 60th birthday.
The Caretaker Chairman, in a statement he personally signed, described the Vice Chancellor as a pride of Ijumu and a worthy Ambassador of the Local Government based on his modest contributions to the nation’s education sector.
Alh. Haruna particularly noted that Ijumu Kingdom is glad that his appointment as Vice Chancellor of FUL has been justified with the various innovations he has brought to the University, making it one of the best in the country.
In his words, the Caretaker Chairman stated that “On behalf of my family and good people of Ijumu Kingdom, I wish to congratulate our own Ambassador, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi as he marks his 60th birthday. No doubt, 60 years is a milestone in the life of anyone. I join you sir in appreciating God for His goodness in your life.”

He appreciated Prof. Akinwumi for identifying with him following his appointment as Caretaker Chairman, saying his wise counsels will also be needed to attract more development to the Local Government.
