Caretaker Chairman, Kabba/Bunu LGA, Hon Zacchaeus Dare Michael is determined to build our local special squad into combat-ready force.
Hon Zacchaeus on Saturday said that his administration would continue to support the police and other security agencies to enable them discharge their duties effectively.
He gave the assurance at the local government secretariat, during the security briefing.
Mr. Chairman, said that government’s support was necessary to enable the police and other security agencies tackle all the security challenges facing the local government efficiently.
“For us as a government, the challenge of insecurity remains a battle which we cannot afford not to win. It has, therefore, become extremely imperative that all efforts and resources be deployed towards the achievement of that primary constitutional mandate of providing security for the people’s lives and property,” he said.
Hon Zacchaeus Dare Michael said that the State Government would also strive to improve the quality and numerical strength of the police and other security agencies.
Earlier, the Special Assistant on Security to the caretaker chairman, Pst. Jacob Oni commended the special squad (Dabaga) for the tremendous support they gave to the previous administration in maintaining peace and order in our local government area.
Pst Jacob charged the officers to refrain from corrupt practices, urging them to be of good conduct while discharging their duties.
“You must continue to conduct yourselves, whether in or out of uniform, in manners worthy of emulation and praise,” he said.
In his response, Alhaji Abubakar, leader of the special squad (Dabaga) sends his congratulatory message to the caretaker chairman on his appointment and reiterate his commitment in ensuring peace, stability and order in the local government area.
“Haven listened to your articulated speeches, I have this strong believe that you’re a man of multiple qualities. We’ll give you the necessary support. Our men are ever ready and by your support, we’ll ensure that crimes and all social vices in the society are drastically reduced”, Mr Abubakar stated.
