Development: Ijumu Caretaker Chairman, Alh. Haruna Woos Stakeholders, Visit FUL VC

The new Transition Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alh. Haruna Ibrahim on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi at his residence in Ekirin Adde.

The visit of Alhaji Haruna followed his assumption of office earlier on Friday and is in line with his commitment to woo Stakeholders of the Area on the need to unite and attract more development.

Discussion of the visit was centered on the need for collaboration and synergy between the local government Chairman and the Vice Chancellor.

Alhaji Haruna while commending Professor Akinwumi for the innovations and lofty track record of achievements since he assumed office as the 3rd Vice-Chancellor of FUL, prayed for more successes as Ijumu people are proud of him.

He stressed the need for all Ijumu sons and daughters to come together to unite and move the Local Government to enviable height.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated the Chairman and his entourage for the visit and the opportunity to interact and share ideas on making Ijumu Local Government Area the envy of other local government councils in the state in terms of development.

The vice Chancellor assured Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna and his team of his readiness to partner with them in deciding appropriate training that will have direct impact on the lives of the people of Ijumu Local Government.

The Chairman was accompanied by Hon. Victor Omofaiye, former Commissioner of Environment, Hon Ibikunle Alexander Obaropo, former Secretary Ijumu Local government Area, Hon. Toluyemi Sunday, APC Woman Leader Ijumu LGA and party faithfuls.
