Says Kogi is on a pedestal of sustained development amidst global economic challenges

The Special Adviser to Governor Yahaya Bello on Civil Service and Labour Matters, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for laying a solid foundation upon which the government of the Governor-elect, Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman will sustain the legacy of good governance the state have witnessed in the last eight years.

The Kabba born politician and IIJ trained investigative journalist made the statement in Lokoja on Christmas day as part of his press statement released to commemorate with Christian faithful, the 2023 Christmas celebration. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi said the year has been such a challenging one across the globe and our national economy has experienced unarguably near uncontrollable inflation, making prices of commodities to skyrocket unusually which have brought untold economic strain on every citizens. He however argued that despite the challenge with the purchasing power of government and individuals that have remained same in the face of high price of goods, government of Kogi State have shown remarkable leadership, prudent implementation of policies and budget and exemplary application of resources that makes the Yahaya Bello administration to continue to deliver on dividends of democracy.

The Special Adviser said the new direction government have continued to deliver very heartwarming projects and empowerment that have continued to impact the economy of the state and promote the wellbeing of the people. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi said apart from the legacy projects the governor have embarked upon in the last almost eight years, he has shown leadership in project execution in unusual manner in 2023 despite the distractions of two major elections in the state. Worthy of mentioning among litany of achievements made in 2023 alone is the establishment of the Kogi State University, Kabba in 2023 and still commenced admission in the same year. Omoluabi said the new university have emerged as the biggest construction, educational, developmental and people oriented projet ever embarked upon on the soil of Okunland, the Yoruba speaking part of the state by any known government, organization or individual,. He said the National Universities Commission have approved twenty five courses and JAMB has commenced admission for one thousand five hundred pioneering students signaling the begining of a university education on the soil of Okunland.

The Special Adviser said that the same Governor in 2023 brought the Kogi State College of Education Technical to Mopa in Yagbaland thereby exposing the land of Yagba people to a full fledged tertiary educational institution for the first time. He also mentioned the GYB Model School, Okebukun-Bunu as another milestone achievement of the Governor in 2023. He mentioned retinue of projects the administration made in just 2023.

The Special Adviser however submitted that Governor Yahaya Bello has set a platform and unbreakable foundation of astronomical development for the Governor-elect to bounce on into Stardom of good governance and unstoppable development.

Omoluabi describe Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman as a loyal, disciplined, humane, outstanding and unrepentant student of Governor Yahaya Bello’s political school of thought, he said Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman is a successor that will consolidate the vision of a prosperous Kogi set by Governor Yahaya Bello.

Omoluabi assured Kogites that the incoming government of Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman is a government made by God to continue legacy of service instituted by the Leader of the state and incumbent Governor Yahaya Bello. He enjoined the people to rise and support the APC to succeed in Kogi state.

He wishes the people of Kogi State a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year ahead.
