A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ijumu Local Government Area and a Chairmanship hopeful, Hon. Mayowa Idris has congratulated the Executive Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaha Bello, the Kogi state Governor elect, HE, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, his Deputy Governor elect, HE, Joel Oyibo, the good people of Ijumu Local Government Area and Kogites at large on the victory of the All Progressives Congress in the just concluded Kogi state Governorship election.
The Chairmanship hopeful, in a statement signed and made available to newsmen described the victory of the All Progressives Congress and Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as reflecting the wishes of kogites whom he noted came out en-mass to vote massively for the APC.
“This victory didn’t come to me as a surprise. As a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ijumu Local Government Area, the victory of our beloved party, the APC in Ijumu Local Government Area where we have a Governorship candidate is an indication that the people of Ijumu have indeed reciprocated the gesture of Governor Yahaha Bello for them as the Governor of Kogi state.
“Let me use this opportunity to appeal to the good people of Kogi state to extend the maximum support and cooperation they accorded Governor Yahaha Bello to our incoming Chief Executive Officer and Chief Security Officer of Kogi state, HE, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo so that Kogites would continue to enjoy full dividends of democracy.
“While congratulating the Executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaha Bello, the Kogi state Governor-elect, HE, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Kogi state Deputy Governor-elect, HE, Joel Oyibo, and the good people of Kogi State on the victory of our beloved APC, it is my prayer that God will grant the Governor and Deputy Governor-elect the wisdom, strength and good health to pilot the affairs of our beloved Kogi State to the next level.
