In a surprising turn of events, the Kabba/Bunu loyalists of Governor Yahaya Bello attempted to arrest Hon. Ayodeji Ajayi, popularly known as AJAF, just days before the upcoming elections. This move, however, proved to be nothing short of laughable and self-embarrassing.
Hon. Ajayi recently organized a massive campaign rally in support of Elder Leke Abejide’s gubernatorial bid under the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The rally, held in Kabba Bunu Local Government, showcased the significant momentum and support Abejide has gained in his quest for the 2023 elections.
The attempt to arrest AJAF was not only ridiculous but also self-destructive and irrational. It seems the loyalists failed to realize that such extreme measures only highlight their desperation and lack of confidence in the electoral process.
Despite the shameful attempt, it is clear that they have failed woefully, forcing them to acknowledge the inevitability of a free, fair, and peaceful election scheduled for 11/11 in Kogi State. AJAF remains resilient in the face of these challenges, emphasizing that history will judge every stance taken, whether for the greater good or otherwise.
In response to the failed arrest, Hon. Ajayi maintained an unperturbed stance, highlighting the disconnect from reality that seems to plague those who resort to such desperate tactics. As the election date approaches, AJAF and his team stand firm, unwavering in their commitment to a democratic process that reflects the will of the people.
