In an exhilarating turn of events, the community of Iluke-Bunu is basking in the glow of electricity as a long-awaited dream becomes a reality. The entire communuty and IDRUFEM, a son of Iluke, extends sincere appreciation to the Bunu Development Association (BDA) and those that donated to make this life changing electrification project a reality.

It is worth recalling that back in 2011, BDA initiated the project and IDRUFEM generously donated the first one million Naira towards the electrification project of the Iluafon, Illah, and Iluke communities.

This donation plus the individual contributions by each of the communities helped catalysed additional contributions from several prominent figures, including the people oriented House of Representative Member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency Honorable Salman Idris of ADC, Senator Smart Adeyemi, Mrs. Shade Olobatoke, Prince Mathew Kolawole, and many others, followed suit. This collaborative effort has now led to the highly-celebrated milestone of providing electricity to the community, and the joy is palpable.

According to IDRUFEM “No community can develop without electricity and ADC leaders would continue to prioritize transformational project like this”. That is why Hon. Salman Idris within few months in office, ensured that he provided necessary financial support and facilitation required to complete the project and bring succour to our people.

IDRUFEM added that, if we can vote for ADC’s Elder Leke Abejide for Governor come November 11, his tenure as Governor will be that of sustainable community development and people oriented projects. By rallying behind Leke Abejide, the community can ensure that more dividends of democracy and development are brought to their doorstep.
