A group under the aegis of Kogi Vibrant Youths and Students Community has endorsed the candidature of Otunba Olayinka Buriamah of Action Alliance ahead of the November 11governorahip election in the State.
While endorsing Otunba Olayinka Braimoh and his running mate, Tijani Yahaya Immam at the Edge Drive Hotels Lokoja, the former National President of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Tijani Usman at a press conference in Lokoja on Tuesday stated that they decided to support the AA Candidate as he has an impressive credentials to provided the necessary leadership that the people of the State are yearning for.
Usman explained that among all the Governorship Candidates for the Gubernatorial race, only Otunba Braimoh has a blueprint known as STAT Agenda, capable of lifting the Kogi from poverty to a prosperous State that its founding fathers will be proud of.
He states that “with the unity and unshakable belief in Kogi State’s promising future, the dynamic youth and student community of our great state have gathered here today (Tuesday) at the Edge to wholeheartedly endorse the gubernatorial candidacy of H.E. Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, the flag bearer of the Action Alliance.”
He noted that “with energy and determination, echoes the resounding proclamation of Kogi’s youth and students, affirming Otunba Braimoh as the embodiment of competence, vision, and the pragmatic roadmap necessary to usher Kogi State into a prosperous era.”
This endorsement is borne out of Otunba Braimoh’s exceptional contributions within the state, most notably his unwavering commitment to education.
According to Usman, who hails from Kogi State “His generous initiative covering tuition fees for over 200 students across various higher learning institutions in Kogi State stands as a beacon of his dedication to nurturing the potential of our Youth.”
“In addition, his pioneering efforts to empower youth and women, improve student welfare, advance education, and his comprehensive Manifesto encompassing Solid Minerals, Tourism, Agriculture, and Trade (S.T.A.T) signify a promise to elevate countless youths and the entire populace from the grip of poverty, leaving an enduring impact on our state’s youthful demographic.
“Otunba Braimoh’s visionary mission statements have struck a deep chord with Kogi’s youth and student leaders, eliciting their wholehearted endorsement. We urge all eligible youths and students across the state to stand united and exercise their sacred right to cast their votes in favour of the candidate they all hail as the “People’s Governor,” Usman added.
In his remarks, one of the Youth Leaders, Shuaibu Abdulkadir said they are committed to mobilizing support for the Governorship ambition of Otunba Braimoh across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State
