IGP Egbedokun, Chief Of Naval Staff, KDU President, Dignitaries Attend As International Institute Of Professional Security Honours Col. Abayomi Dare With Lifetime Security Achievers Award
It was a gathering of who is who, political starlwarts, captain of industry, great personalities from within and outside the country gathered at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, the nation capital, as security expert, philanthropist and seasoned technocrat, Colonel (Dr)Abayomi Dare (Retired) was honoured by the International Institute of Professional Security with “Lifetime Security Achievers award”.
The epoch making event was attended by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, representative of the Chief of Air staff and great personalities from all works of life gathered to celebrate and honour the awardees who have contributed immensely to the security development and sustainability of Nigeria.
Delivering his address, the Director General of International Institute of Professional Security, Dr(Barr) Tony Ofoyetan welcome the participants and guests to an era where there would be economic resolution, social re-engineering, political stability and sanitry, security attainment, educational innovation, technological discoveries, agricultural revolution and spiritual forthrightnes.
The International Institute of Professional Security this year event is the 16th International Security Conference Award with the theme “The New Security Agenda”
He also welcomed the gathering to a new Security agenda against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping for ransom and rituals, armed robberies, internet frauds and cybercrimes, tribal and inter-tribal conflicts, piracies and sea robberies, religious fanaticism and bigotry.
The Director General also appreciated individuals and organisations that have distinguished themselves in security with an award of excellence while congratulating all recipients and Fellowship awardees.
Briefing newsmen at the sideline, a security expert and seasoned technocrat, Colonel (Dr) Abayomi Dare who bags Lifetime Security Achievers award said his commitment and contributions to the Security of Nigeria and humanity won him the recognition by the International Institute of Professional Security.
Colonel (Dr) Abayomi Dare said security of Nigeria is everyone business and urged Nigerians to always support and avail information to security personnel that would help them to tackle insecurity of lifes and property, citing the general saying that if you”see something, say something”, as such he noted would help to tackle insecurity in Nigeria.
Highlight of the program was the presentation of of Lifetime Security Achievers award on Colonel (Dr) Abayomi Dare by the Inspector General of Police, paper presentation by the IGP, panelists interaction session and questions from guests.
