Sodiya to Deliver FUNAAB’s 80th Inaugural Lecture

Professor of Computer Science and Information Security, Adesina Simon Sodiya, will deliver the 80th Inaugural Lecture of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

FUNAAB’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Olusola Kehinde will preside over the lecture titled ‘The Muddy Waters In Winning The Revolutionized Cybersecurity Game’.

The lecture scheduled for Wednesday 16th August, 2pm will hold at the Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun Ceremonial Building of the University.

Sodiya joined University of Agriculture, Abeokuta as a Senior programmer in 1995 and in 2001 moved to the University’s Department of Computer Science as an Assistant Lecturer from where he rose through the ranks to become a Professor in 2015.

He is focused on research in Cyber Security, Attack/Intrusion Detection, Authentication Systems, Cryptography, Systems’ Security, Privacy Protection, and Security of Distributed Systems.

Sodiya who is the current Nigeria Computer Society President is a fellow of the Society and immediate Vice-President/Vice Chairman of Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria, CPN.

He has been serving as a member of National Executive Council (NEC) of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) since 2011 and he is the current President of Information Technology Systems and Security Professionals (ITSSP).
