Hon. Leke Abejide, Honoured With Chieftaincy Title As The Bashorun Of Ekinrin-Adde.

It was a colorful event for an individual like Hon. Leke Abejide and his wife at the 2023 Ekinrin-Adde day, Ijumu LGA of Kogi State.

Hon. Leke Abejide a second-term member of the House of Representatives and the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress ADC in Kogi state was the Chairman of the 2023 Ekinrin-Adde day as he was honored with a Chieftaincy title alongside his lovely wife.

The prestigious Chieftancy titles were conferred by the Olu- Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, HRM, Olu Anthony Bamigbaye Idowu (Ahe Maworo 1) ACA, CON, as the Bashorun and Yeye Bashorun of Ekinrin-Adde.

The Olu-Adde of Ekinrin-Adde conferred the titles in recognition of the coupleโ€™s philanthropic gestures, community building, and how they have affected lives positively he conferred the duo the chieftaincy titles.

โ€œWe confer him with this title for the great support to the entire Okunland, Hon. Abejide has done meaningfully well to plant his name on the lips of all and sundry in Okun land. He is also a brother, friend and associate of one of our Illustrious sons Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.

Recall, Hon. Leke Abejide has bagged several awards and honorary titles; as the Asiwaju of Alu, Asiwaju Yoruba of Kano, Maiyegun of Egbe land, Gbobaniyi of Iyamoye, Olu-Omo of Omuoke and now the Bashorun of Ekinrin-Adde.

In his remark, Hon Leke Abejide recognized the Olu- IIjumu of Ijumu and thanked the Olu- Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, HRM, Olu Anthony Bamigbaye Idowu (Ahe Maworo 1) ACA, CON, and the entire people of Ekinrin-Adde for finding him worthy as to be the Chairman of Ekinrin-Adde Day 2023, and for the honorary title as one of the recipients of chieftaincy title as the new Bashorun and Yeye Bashorun of Ekinrin-Adde.

According to Hon. Leke,โ€ Ekinrin Adde is my community, our leader Hon. James Abiodun Faleke is from here and if I say I am from Ekinrin- Adde I am not wrong.

Hon.Leke Abejide said because he is now an adopted son of Ekinrin-Adde community, also for his wife and Hon. James Faleke our leader, he supported the community with a sum of 10 million naira for community development.
