Kogi PDP State Treasurer, Alfred Bello Resigns from Party.
Ahead of the November 11 Governorship Election, the Kogi State Treasurer of the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) and former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly between 2003 – 2007, Barr. Alfred Bello has resigned his membership of the Party.

In a letter addressed to the Party Chairman of his Ward, Aiyeteju/Kajola in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Barr. Alfred Bello said his decision to abandon his former party is base on personal reasons that will enable him to pursue other issues.
He used the medium to appreciate the leadership of the party at various levels for given him the opportunity to serve.

However his resignation might not be unconnected to the way and manner Senator Dino Melaye was alleged to have hijacked the delegates list of the party during the recently conducted Governorship party primary that gave him edge to emerged as the candidate of the party for November 11 Governorship Election in Kogi state.
It will also be recalled that within weeks prominent members of the party has since resigned from the party especially from Okun axis of the Kogi West senatorial district
