Shun Cultism, Kogi State Government Warns Gloryland Polytechnic Ankpa Matriculants

The newly matriculated students of Gloryland Polytechnic Ankpa have been asked to shun cultism.

The Kogi State Commissioner For Education Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones gave the advice at the Matriculation ceremony of Gloryland Polytechnic Ankpa, urged the students not to partake or support cultism.

The Education Commissioner described education as a tool for sustainability,

said the present administration in the State is not resting on it oars until education is made affordable and available to everybody.

The Commission added that the present administration is working to revive all Government Technical Colleges in the State, said the Technical College Idah is soon to be completed.

The Commissioner explained that the world is paying emphasis on technical education, reason why the State cannot be indifferent, assured that with the reviving of the Technical Colleges, it would enable the State take advantage of it rich natural resources as well as for the Youths to be gainfully employed.

The Commissioner for education described the present administration under the leadership of Gov Yahaya Bello as resolutely committed to repositioning education in the State, congratulated the proprietor, management and staff of Gloryland Polytechnic Ankpa for crossing the hurdle to be recognized by the Federal Government as well attain accreditation by the National Board For Technical Education.

Similarly, the Commissioner congratulated Ankpa LGA for the berth of the Polytechnic, pointing out that for an area that was once associated with many unregistered tertiary institutions to now have a well recognized tertiary institution, deserves commendation.
