Leke Abejide Picks ADC Nomination Form To Contest For Kogi State Gubernatorial Election
Hon. Leke Abejide the member representing Yagba Federal Constituency in Kogi state has picked the African Democratic Congress ADC Gubernatorial nomination and expression.
The form was picked up today at the ADC national secretariat in Abuja by the member and national leader of the party alongside his thousands of supporters.
The National Chairman of ADC Chief Ralphs Oke Nwosu said the state of Kogi is broken, the people of Kogi state need someone to fix it, people need peace and warmth the only person who can fix it is Hon. Leke Abejide, since he joined ADC he has brought light and even in his constituency he has proven to have the needed capacity to lead. Now we are presenting him to the state of Kogi the confluence state.
Addressing reporters shortly after receiving his nomination form Hon. Abejide said the people are in for a new dawn in Kogi State, he was elected first term and now re-elected for the second term, he said he is going into the election and has the assurance of winning as Kogi state governor come November 2023.
Abejide stated that people across the state have been reaching out to him to contest and finally he has decided to yield to the call of the people saying “Here I am send me Lord”.
“ADC won two federal constituencies in Kogi state, Yagab and Kabba Bunu Ijumu Federal constituencies because of the good work the people are seeing through our party, although the people of Lokoja/Koto came as well and also agitated that they should not be cut off as they also want to benefit from the good deed that other five local governments in Okun are benefitting from” now the party will cut across the whole Kogi state and we are ready to take over the affairs of the state”.
Hon. Abejide said he will sustain peace and development of infrastructure as he is doing in Yagba across the state, this is a coalition of different political parties, as the election is not about political parties. This movement is beyond political party as we have both APC, PDP, SDP, LP, NNPP and people who don’t have any political party affiliations on board to rescue our dear state he said.
