MTN Adopts NCC’s New Unified USSD Codes 311 and 300 for call center
If you are an MTN subscriber, there is a new thing to lean and there are old things to let go. Your mobile network service provider has adopted the new unified USSD codes and you should know them for easy access to recharge your phone.

NCC’s New Unified USSD Codes For All Mobile Networks
Meanwhile the action is based on the Nigerian Communications Commission’s (NCC) approval of a Unified USSD codes for all mobile networks in Nigeria.
Starting from May 18, 2023, the only way to check your credit or recharge your line is to use the NCC approved unified USSD codes for all mobile networks which the old code will show invalid code used while recharging your phone.
About a month ago, the commission had informed all concerned party’s to migrate and fully implement the Unified USSD codes by May 17, 2023
This is because once the harmonised shortcodes (HSC) for all mobile networks kicks off, that will be the only way to recharge or check balance on all mobile networks.
Significance Of NCC’s USSD Codes
This means that as an MTN subscriber or user you will no longer be able to recharge your line using the regular/ old MTN codes *555# and *556#.
Furthermore, it also means that any mobile network provider be it MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile or any other that fails to migrate will not be able to serve it’s customers or users.
This also means that all mobile network services will be using the same customer care number, the same code for checking data balances and the same code for credit recharge.
