Supreme Court Ruling, DG APC Campaign Council calls on Members to Close Rank
The Director General, Campaign Council of the ruling All Progressive Congress in Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Hon. Adesayo Ismail has called on the members in the party to close rank as the Supreme Court judgment delivered yesterday in favor of it’s candidate, Matthew Kolawole has finally laid to rest all legal issues, urging warring factions to sheath their swords.
According to him, the opposition’s predictions had failed which should make the outcome of the case further strengthen the party to do more exploits as what happened yesterday in the apex court is a win-win situation olof no victor not vanquished for all party members.

He appealed to all contestants who participated in the party primaries to put it at the back of their minds that winning the elections for the party is much more important now, and their interests will be fully taken care of when APC wins all elections from top to bottom.
The DG of the Council said Matthew Kolawole is the candidate to beat at the polls considering his wealth of experience as a two-term Speaker at the state level and Executive Committee member of the Nigeria States Legislatures Speakers since he emerged as the 12th Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly in 2017, stressing that without any contradiction, the APC candidate is more qualified than others contesting with him, pointing out that he is well exposed and known coupled with his lobby ability.
Hon. Adesayo said the forthcoming elections provide a rare opportunity for the electorate in the Federal Constituency to enjoy qualitative representations and access more dividends of democracy which had hitherto eluded them from the opposition party that has been occupying the position since 1999 without any meaningful development to show compared to other constituencies being represented by the All Progressives Congress.

He further noted that in a couple of days, campaign activities will commence in earnest in the area hence it is expected all and sundry should rally round all the candidates of the party from the Presidency to the House of Assembly to win overwhelmingly, as the leader of the party in the state, Governor Yahaya Bello has promised to provide all needed logistics that will guarantee our victory once again in the state
