Yagba Federal Constituency: Fanwo – Another Descartes Embraces Olafemi
Descartes the great philosopher was asked why he doesn’t take revenge. He responded, “when someone offends me, I raise my Spirit to heights where offences cannot reach.”

Just yesterday May 29th on the apex Yagba social media page, one of my younger ones who happens to be among the closest to Hon. Femi Fanwo, Mr. Tunji Dambola posted a quote as follows, ” I will preach complete healing and forgiveness. We are one people. No ambition is enough to divide us”- Femi Fanwo.

The post was as a result of the outcome of APC House of Representatives primary election for Yagba Federal Constituency won by Engr. Folorunsho Olafemi. When I saw the post, I remember Descartes and it dawned on me that Hon. Fanwo has entered into Descartes’s Spirit. True, the loss of any competition is capable of generating offence, bad blood and hatred, but those that are capable of raising their spirits above those impostors have transcended the mundane plane.

Today again, the 30th of May, I saw a post on Fanwo’s Facebook page where he displayed the poster of his erstwhile opponent and said, “It is not me. But it is still me. He is my brother, friend and our candidate for Yagba Federal Constituency. If you are for me, be for him…” This is a display of one of the highest level of Sport-manship I have seen in recent years. God bless you.

All over the world, and particularly in the military, people prioritizes  their most vital assets, to defend and project them as appropriate. As matter stands today, Engr. Folorunsho Olafemi PhD is one of the most vital human assets for Yagba land.

This young man has developed a planned system of visible, logical and repeatable growth template that centres first on human capacity building and followed by sustainable environmental/demographic buoyancy.

We must join hands with him to change the situation on ground in Yagba at the moment. We must understand first that whatever strategy the past and present members of the House of representatives engaged to get us here is no longer sufficient to keep us well grounded talk more of moving us forward.

With Foley, it will be a new dawn of emancipation for Yagba youths because they will be exposed to contemporary digital skills that will enable them to play on global fields and break out from the perilous circle that the current status quo Hask kept them.

Our youths are about to know the difference between the liabilities and Greek gifts that people call empowerment and the liberating force of knowledge as occasioned by global trends that Foley is bringing.

Those that know me will testify that I don’t jump on bandwagons and I don’t bootlick or hero worship people, I am only interested in the liberation of people who are willing and ready to sacrifice for what they want to become in life. I have clearly seen in Foley the emancipation Spirit as opposed to the web building logics and tricks only aimed at winning elections.

This is why I am inviting you to join us as we enthrone a new dawn in Yagba because:

With Foley, the revolution is here.

Samuel Elere.
