Hon. Sunday Steve Karimi has finally benched the incumbent Senator from Kogi West Senatorial District at the APC Primary’s held in Kabba today
Hon. Karimi floored the three time Senator and three others at the party‘s poll with a margin of to to emerge the APC flagbearer for Kogi West Senatorial District.
Hon. Karimi represented Yagba Federal Constituency between 2011 to 2016 at the House of Representatives.
Hon. Karimi scored 227 votes, to beat Sen. Smart 43 votes, Dr. Muri Aina 73, Mrs Adedoyin Eshanumi 1 vote, Mohamed Wambai 9 Votes.
In his remarks, Hon. Karimi assured that if elected, he would justify the confidence reposed on him by the delegates and the APC.
He described the poll as victory for all the contestants at the polls, pointing out that it was a contest of brothers, with no loser.
He particularly paid glowing tribute to all the contestants who made sacrifices, described them as equals, said it was only normal that only one person would fly the party‘s flag.
He promised to reach out to all the contestants with a view to forming a formidable force ahead the general election.
