2023 Presidential Election: Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya the right person to Head Prof. Yemi Osinbajo Campaign Council

With the 2023 Presidential election around the corner one of the major contender for the ticket of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is the current Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, who made his declaration on the 11th of April, 2022. In his  declaration speech that was posted on his social media handles, he said that in the past Seven years, as the number two man in Nigeria he has traversed every part of the  country meeting Nigerians of every cadre, class, tribe, and works of life both young and old.  This also followed with the announcement of the appointment of Distinguished Senator (Dr) Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya as the head of the campaign council.
Senator Kabiru Ibrahim  Gaya is a Nigerian politician, a four-time senator representing Kano South Senatorial District of  Kano State under the ruling  All progressive Congress (APC). He was the Executive Governor of Kano State from 1992-1993. He was also appointed to various of the red Chamber such as  committees on Gas, Local and Foreign Debts, States & Local Government, and Upstream Petroleum Resources. He sponsored the Finance Management and Accountability Bill, 2009, and the Millennium Development Agency Bill, 2009.  

Also among his tremendous achievements as a lawmaker, Senator Kabiru Gaya played a vital role in sponsoring the Bill, “For an Act to Establish the North-East Development Commission in the Federal Republic of Nigeria to address the devastation caused by insurgency and other connected matters (2015). 
Moreover, in his contribution towards the upliftment of the people of his Senatorial District, he dwelled in the provision of health care services, educational development for the masses, and agricultural assistance for farmers. Employment generation for the youths and Infrastructural development.

In addition to that, senator Gaya was elected as the (Vice President Inter-Parliamentary Union) IPU, African Group) Vice-Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) for Africa in 2016. He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) and the Nigerian Large Scale Farmers Association (NLSFA). He also held the position of the Senate Committee Chairman of States and Local Government Administration, Chairman of the Senate committee on works and presently the Chairman of the Senate Committee Chairman on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) . He is a political juggernaut, a team player, a bridge builder with so much political cloud and influence that cut across all part of the country. He has the capacity to woo delegates across the country for the Vice President who is well prepared to lead this great country of ours. 
In assuming office as the head of The Progressive Project (TPP), an umbrella body of the Support groups of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo Presidential campaign. Senator Gaya said that the Vice President’s ambition is not a personal one but a response to the call by the people to serve the country. And the Vice President has all the qualities and the competence to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 and that his Presidential declaration showed his brilliance. He went further to say that he has the total confidence by the power of the Almighty and the electoral powers of millions of Nigerian citizens across the Six Geo-Political Zones, Professor Yemi Osinbajo will succeed President Muhammadu Buhari  on 29th of May, 2023.
With his level of political networks, Distinguished Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya will played a vital role towards the emergence of Yemi Osinbajo as the flagbearer of the ruling party for the upcoming 2023 Presidential election. He also has the capacity of promoting the Vice President across the country in line with the promises made by the Professor during his declaration which has to do with transforming the security and intelligence architecture of the country. The provision of excellent environment for businesses to fly by enhancing the social investment programme to a full scale social welfare scheme. The complete lifting of 100 Million Nigerians out of poverty and to rapidly advance infrastructural development especially, power, roads, and railway. Others are reforming the judiciary, Agricultural revolution, creating tech economy that will provide jobs for millions of Nigerians. Reforming the educational system relevance to the challenges of the century by ensuring that all Nigerians attend schools. Strengthening the capacity of States and Local Governments to deliver on their respective mandate and finally, building a Nigeria where everywhere is home for everyone, where our diversities tribes, and faiths unite, rather than divide us. A Nigeria where everyone sees each other as sisters and brothers.
