Philanthropy is not the act of giving worthless to invaluable things to the less privilege with the hope of getting a return immediately. But; the act of wholeheartedly rendering assistance of any form to those desperately in need, without expecting immediate return.
Folorunsho Olafemi has been advantageous to the people in various ways.
To mention but few;
In Education
– Yearly payment of JAMB forms for students across and even beyond Yagba
– Scholarship for students through Tertiary Institutions
– Provision of JAMB preparatory classes across Yagba Constituency to help candidates
– Sponsorship of several academic programmes across several schools
– Employment of Science teachers across schools in Mopa, Yagba East and Yagba West to argument the deficiencies
Human Intervention
1. – Payment of medical bills for so many people within his community through his charity organisation. Some of these interventions have life saving and expensive and intricate medical procedures.
2. – Intervention in care and support for the old and aged.
3. – Provided amenities and paid for repairs of families affected by the ghastly winds.
4.- Provided and shared food and hygiene materials during the COVID lockdown periods across Yagba Federal Constituency. Materials Like Semo, Rice, Sal, Sugar, Soaps etc.
5. – Folorunsho has been putting smiles on Widows during Christmas Celebrations. He targets about 1000 widows with a budget (minimum of 7500 naira ) per head.
Infrastructure
– Folorunsho has dug and commissioned about 27 Bore holes across several communities in Yagba Federal constituency. no wonder he is called Mr Water…
– He revamped and revived the Mopa Water Board which was re-commissioned by the traditional council of the Mopa
– Supported a few schools in renovation of broken infrastructure and equipment
– Supporting community led and driven initiatives like fixing some community infrastructure.
Youth Empowerment
– Folorunsho has been empowering youths (20 each year) with the sum of 200K naira to start up a business via a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style business case proposal and sponsorship and mentoring.
– Supported several youths across Artisan Education across the Constituency
– Sponsored several sports competitions (Table Tennis and Football) across his constituency like the Just Concluded ‘Elulu Football Cup’ Competition.
– Speaker in several Youth programmes and seminars and plans to sponsor at least 10 youths to Ghana in July for the 2022 Innovation and Empowerment Conference
GYB 2 PYB
– Provision of 1000 Face Caps bearing GYB2PYB
– Sponsored several youths transportation across several states to attend the GYB2PYB campaign
– Airing of the television jingle on channels TV, AIT, TVC stations mid-news. The jingle was aired repeatedly on two of the above mentioned stations for 4 weeks.
– Erected several campaign boards.
Apart from the aforementioned point, the good work still ongoing, as Folorunsho Olafemi still have alot to offer.
