The coucillor representing Ogale/Aduge Ward who also doubles as the Council Leader of Ijumu Local Government, Hon. Yinka Omosagba has empowered over fifty people in Ogale/Aduge Ward. The beneficiaries included thirty widows, three Youths, twenty seven students, Elders and party stalwarts drawn from the various units and communities in the ward.
The beneficiaries were given cash ranging from five thousand to ten thousand naira each, clippers and rice. About twenty seven students in the ward are to get scholarships to ameliorate the burden of paying school fees which will be presented to them first week of resumption in their respective schools in Ogale and Aduge communities. In her speech, she stated that the gesture was part of her electoral promises to uplift the Youths, provide succors for the widows, students and elders in the ward. She also said that she was in the ward to present the gifts as her support to the people in this month of mercy when the people are preparing for the Easter and Sallah celebration.
The Coucillor pleaded with those not captured in the empowerment not to be annoyed as more would be done and those not included now would benefit in the next batch. She pleaded with the people to remain loyal and supportive to the party and government, pray for the governor of the state in his presidential ambition and also asked for prayers for her benefactor the LG and ALGON Chairman Alh. Dr. Taufiq Isa.
The beneficiaries were full of joy and happiness. In response, one of the beneficiaries on behalf of others thanked the councilor and prayed for her success, God’s protection and elevation.
Present at the ceremony were the Local government YBN Coordinator who is also the ward leader, Oshadare Ariyo ( Lecturer), former LLO Hon. Toyin, ward Elders, ward Chairman, Women Leader, other party Excos and other party faithfuls.
