Hajia Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, Ph.D., from Kogi West Senatorial District was born on the 12th day of June, 1970. She is a Nigerian politician who hails from Kogi State, Nigeria. She was the National Woman Leader of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) later All Progressive Congress (APC) after the party and other political parties merged (2014 – 2018). She has supported the incumbent president Muhammadu Buhari during his presidential campaigns.

She was born on 12 June, 1970 in Wuse area Abuja, Nigeria.She is the daughter of late Alhaji Mamman Sidi Ali, who was the THE TAFIDA OF AND THE SON OF HRH THE AGANKYU OF KAKANDA KINDOM,ALH MAMMAN BAWAN ALLAH(LATE BUDON, KOGI STATE .

Hajiya Ramatu as fondly called started her early childhood education at Dawaki Primary school Suleja ,enrolled for her secondary education at Federal Government College (FGC) Minna, Niger state and finished in 1988.

Two years later after a successful completion of her remedial program (SGRS), Ramatu got admitted into Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for her undergraduate program to study Urban and Regional Planning. She graduated in 1995 with Bachelor of Science degree (B.URP) Urban and Regional Planning, after which Ramatu she went to Nasarawa State University, Keffi for her Masters Degree in Public Administration. She was conferred with honorary doctorate degree in Public Administration by the Commonwealth University, London and has also earned a certificate in Leadership Skills from the Abbey College, London. Hajia Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu just bagged her PhD in Nasarawa State University,Keffi in April 2021.

The happily married Hajia Ramatu who is happily married to a banker is a philanthropist who also runs an NGO she founded; the Global Women and Youth Empowerment Strategy (GLOWYES)and RTA FOUNDATION. 

She first started her work life after she was mobilized to observe the compulsory national service, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing. Young Ramatu later joined AZAH Intermediaries Nigeria Limited, a civil engineering construction firm as a chartered town planner and a member of NITP and TOOREC, where she worked as Managing Director for some years, but she later went back to university where she bagged her Masters degree and Certificate in Leadership Skills and currently earned her PH.D in security and strategic studies.

In 2004, Aliyu was appointed special adviser on Women affairs, Youth and Social Development to the chairman of the Gwagwalada Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Nigeria.

In 2007, she ran for political office to represent Kwali/Abaji federal constituency in the Nigeria National Assembly (NASS) but her bid was unsuccessful, a year later in 2008, she was elected the National vice national chairman of her party, which was the major opposition political party in Nigeria at the time, All Nigeria Peoples Party(ANPP) where she served as the overseer and the chairman of the North Central Zone.

In 2010 she contested and worn the seat of the national women leader of the party, and concurrently served as the president of the Council of African Political Parties (CAPP) women wing after she successful contested and won the election which took place in Khartoum, Sudan and now the elected for a second time but as the First female PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL OF AFRICAN POLITICAL PARTIES  A 56 MEMBER PAN-AFRICAN BODY with observer status in the AU.

In 2014, after three opposition political parties in Nigeria merged into one, including her own party ANPP, after serving as a member of the merger committee and a contributed immensely as a very active member of the constitution subcommittee of the merger, she was elected the women leader of the new party All Progressives Congress (APC), which she served until 2018.

She was assigned with a portfolio as the Minister of State for FCT 

Whose label is known to be a 100% loyalty with hallmark of excellence and commitment to duties assigned by president Muhammadu Buhari GCFR and the Administration. 

Hajia Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu Ph.D has since after her appointment proven to the whole world that she has got capacity to deliver. She has since her assumption of office add value to the well-being of the FCT residents. She has embarked on developmental project across all the Area Council’s in FCT. She is indeed mama project in the history of FCT Administration.

She has proven her ability to manage the human components in an uncommon leadership style with the milk of human kindness that is second to none yet delivering dividends of democracy to the common man in a seamless manner that has endeared her to all residents and indigenes alike.

Her penchant for good Governance and her unwavering love for the less privileged and the downtrodden has caused her to embark on live changing programs bordering on Poverty alleviation programs and diverse youths and women empowerment program that has drastically reduced the rate of unemployment and also reduce the poverty rate of FCT and beyond.

Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu is one woman that derives joy in putting smile on the faces of the less privileged. An encounter with her is an encounter with destiny as she will leave no stone unturned to see to it that you leave her presence far better than you came. 

Hajia Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has in her capacity support market women and youths to grow their businesses and inturn add value to the economy of our dear country. Her love for the artisans is top notch,she is called captain of empowerment,the lover of the youths,the mother to the motherless,the friend of the disabled,mother of the downtrodden, a giver of hope for the hopeless in our society,she is loved by the widows,the farmers called her their booster,the traders called her the pivot etcetera.

Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has overtime demonstrated what it means to serve humanity,she is a humanitarian per excellence and a doyen to the women of Nigeria,Africa and indeed the wholewide world. 

Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu service to humanity has gotten the attention of the traditional rulers back in her State of Origin which has endeared them to her. Little wonder she was recently coronated as the OYINZE OF EBIRALAND and concurrently as the YEYE BOBASELU OF EKINRIN ADE KINGDOM.
