The leading aspirant for Yagba East state constituency seat at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Emmanuel Obaro had taken a bold step further to declare his political interest to ward 08 and Local Government Party executives, Party stakeholders, party faithfuls and many well wishers whose attendance was driven by the good personality of the Aspirant.
The well attended declaration gathering at the ward level witnessed the presence of personalities outside the ward, who had come to show solidarity and support to a shining personae who was discribed by various speakers at the event as a loyal party man, sellable Aspirant, core progressive, kindness personified and a proud yagba son.
Prince Emmanuel Obaro during his declaration first rendered a soul searching worship song to God Almighty for his Faithfulness, Grace and enablement in all ramifications, saying his being and pursuit is nothing with God Almighty. He further demonstrated immense gratitude to all party leaders , stakeholders, party executives, supporters and well wishers for blessing him with their presence.
In his speech, he said “My intention to represent yagba East state constituency at the state legislative arm is not borne out of a self serving desire nor the affinity for power, but it’s out of my passionate quest to use the instrumentality of political power and privileges to provide solutions to the yearnings of our people”.
“The desire to use a political plartform cum public office, is premised on my foresight to increase the reach of my humanitarian services, provide purposeful leadership and attract dividends of good governance to my immediate constituents, saying my representation if given the opportunity to serve will be people oriented and development focused.
Still talking to the party executives and legions of party faithfuls present, Prince Emmanuel Obaro said, If need be, I will step on toes to bring smiles to your faces and if it requires cap in hand, I will gladly do it for your collective growth. I hold you all at high esteem- Your joy is my Happiness, your problem will always be my Pain. I know you will support me to succeed. I am willing and ready to serve you.
Premised on the above pledge, “I present myself to you today as your beloved son, servant leader and change agent, I humbly declare before you All my interest to contest for the Yagba East State constituency seat at the state House Assembly, with your support, prayers and God Almighty, I know it’s a done deal.”. To God be the Glory.
The Local Government APC Chairman, who also hail from ward 08, Hon. Kehinde Atteh, eulogise the Aspirant as a responsible, responsive and hardworking fellow, who has also shown to be loyal and faithful to the party. He enjoined the stakeholders and party faithfuls of the ward to be united towards making the Aspiration a reality, saying the ward had missed the state constituency seat couple of times, hence, we can’t afford to make any mistake on this project.
Speaking also, the Local Government Secretary, Hon. Dare Joshua who is from ward 06, spoke about unity of purpose amongst party members in the ward, saying the jinx of Ward 08 always missing the seat is about to be broken. You have given us a good candidate, all we need is our cooperation and relentless effort towards the campaign and victory at the polls. On this project, am with you, Hon. Dare stated.
The ward 08 APC Chairman, Mr Luke stated that Prince Emmanuel Obaro is their esteemed son in the ward in whom they pleased. He said he’s happy this is happening during his time, urge everyone, especially the progressives member in the ward to take the project as their own, with unity and understanding we shall prevail.
One of the stakeholder in the ward, Elder Akanle, said what endeared him to the Aspirant is his height of wisdom, repository of knowledge, love for humanity and heart of kindness, it’s unique and emulative, saying bringing such attributes to public office will directly translate to a better life for our people and greater strides for the constituency. We are proud to have him in the ward at this time, with our Unity of purpose we shall prevail.
The Coordinator of the Declaration event, Mr Sunday Komolafe from Ward 09, in his speech, gave a historical background of how the House of Assembly seat has moved in Isanlu axis, which obviously favours the Okemeta zone(ward 09) of the axis. He said, it’s the turn of Makutu Axis to have the seat and as God will have it, the odd favours ward 08. Prince Emmanuel Obaro is a personal friend and I can attest to his capacity, political network, strength of character, love for humanity and the ability to uphold the trust and confidence of the people. With him as our candidate, after winning the Primaries, Victory at the general poll is assured.
Party faithfuls, women, Youths and leaders took turn to give their remarks, one thing stood constant, the choice of Prince Emmanuel Obaro gives pervades their heart with joy and an assurance of victory cum good representation.
