2nd Year of 2nd Term Anniversary; Kogi State Has Progressed tremendously under Governor Yahaya Bello, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA

With all delightfulness and huge sense of fulfilment as one of the foot soldiers of the New Direction administration, I join patriotic kogites in all walks of life, APC party faithfuls, well wishers and legion of supporters across the Nation to celebrate the giant strides and progress made in the confluence state by His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Chief Edward David Onoja, as today marks the 2nd year anniversary in the 2nd term of the New Direction Government.

It will always remain indelible in my heart as one of the privilege hand to serve under His Excellency, with the sole aim of adding value to the livelihood of Kogites and change the gory story of the confluence state. Crystal clear, 6 years down the line, the job is far done than little left undone. Thank you your Excellency for the rare but cherished privilege.

Today, January 27th, brings back the memory of 6 years from the mark and two years down the line in the second term, when the vast majority of Kogites gave a full nod to the continuity of the New Direction administration, but with the promise to do more. Without micing words, alot more has been achieved under the leadership of His Excellency in the passionate quest to make Kogi a developmental hub and a shining light amongst committee of states.

Today, Kogi state is unarguably one of the safest state in the Nation despite been bordered by 10 states including FCT. The walls of religion intolerance and ethnic chauvinism has been totally broken, we now see ourselves first as Kogites. The “Lets do more” tsunami has swept invariably all sectors in the state, with massive impact on the citizens, as a way of fulfilling the day one promise of using the resources of the people for their collective good. Today, the majority of Kogites can attest to the transformative change in the Health sector, towards Education advancement, Agricultural renaissance and the unprecedented turn around in the infrastructure base of the state, especially road networks. Your Excellency, more of Good Governance has truly been engendered by your purposeful leadership in the confluence state.

Your Excellency, as a consumate accountant that your are, you have led the state into the good books of a reputable institution like World bank in terms of Transparency, Accountability and efficiency in our financial management, ditto the sound fiscal outlook we now have, despite the reckless malfeasance perpetrated in the past which has place our financial indices in jeopardy. In all spheres, you have led from the front and we kept on breaking barriers and emerging frontiers as a result of your leadership ingenuity and your courage to dare the status quo.

We started well, we are steadily moving on the progressive path, we can be sure we shall finish strong, which will serve as a launch pad to the Greater pedestal of leadership, calling for the replicate of committed service as seen in Kogi state. With your midas touch your Excellency, Kogi is far apart what it used to be in the past vis-a-vis the status of an obscure state, we are now always in the news for progressive reasons, this absolutely validate you as a change maker and a transformative leader of note.

The remaining 2 years would be for more work, because it’s often said that the “Reward for Good work is More Work”. With you, your Proactive deputy and the dutiful New Direction team at the helms, we can be sure arrays of people oriented democratic dividends would be delivered

I can only pray that God Almighty will continually grant you the needed impetus, divine wisdom, sound mind, great strength and increased leadership acumen to berth Kogi state safely to a Greater height and replicate same at the National stage. Amin
