CAMPUS TOUR: NANS KOGI SOLIDARIZE WITH TECHNICAL COLLEGE KABBA, LAUD THE EFFORT OF THE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT, STATE GOVERNMENT AND APPEAL FOR MORE ATTENTION OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ON THE INSTITUTION – GBAMSBLOG
The 5th Executive leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students Kogi State axis, ably led by Comr. Olorunmagba Kehinde Oluwatallest, in a bid to fulfill the NANS Constitutional obligations, paid Kogi State College of Education Technical Kabba a solidarity visit in line with her ongoing program Campus Tour.
Going by the term of reference of the campus tour, the visit necessitate a tete a tete with the Student leaders in the campus, the school management and the inspection of ongoing Programs and projects that has direct impact on the life of the students for the improvement of academic activities within the campus.
It is of no doubt, that the Institution under the leadership of (Provost) Mrs Victory Olushola jagboro, has witness a remodification and redirection in terms of Students population which has grown from 213 Students to over 1000 students, the infrastructural development which has also pave way for the students to operate at the school permanent site, the quality service of improving the academic standard of the school, ranging from introduction of E- Library, Wi-Fi, integration of JAMB centre, the giant stride of the school management in the area of security, renovation of classrooms, laboratories and kitchen for effective academic activities of the students. This humongous efforts has show the 21st leadership Nigerian Students are demanding most importantly in an academic environment.
However, in the course of the interface, painstakingly, the leadership of NANS Kogi observed some important areas that need special intervention of the school management and the state government, although, the School management and State government are already taking some strong steps in tackling these impediment as these areas, such as, the construction of pedestrian bridge that lead to the Permanent site and the transportation system, needs immediate attention in assisting the academic activeness of the students.
Nevertheless, with regard to these prevailing issues, the leadership of NANS Kogi axis were able to recommend some long lasting remedies, constituting of Staff and students committee to work more on the transportation problem, and the consideration of private partnership in aiding the transportation system of the students. The management honorarily accept these measures as academicians who believe in quality Education.
In addendum, it is important to give credence to his Excellency the Executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji YAHAYA ADOZA BELLO led administration for prioritizing Education within the State and for recognizing the realities facing our Educational system and it’s beneficiaries which is line with the NANS charter of demands.
