NACOFED 2021, LAGOS; LOC CHAIRMAN MUKADAM ASIWAJU ASIRU IDRIS,FCA WELCOMES ALL PARTICIPANTS – GBAMSBLOG
The Local Organising Chairman for the National Coucil on Finance and Economic Development (NACOFED 2021) heartily welcomes the special Guest of Honour, the Governor of Lagos state, His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Hon. Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs (Dr.) Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed and all other partipants to the event scheduled to hold between 14th – 18th November, 2021.
The theme of this year is PUBLIC SECTOR FINANCE MANAGEMENT IN THE NEW NORMAL(POST COVID-19).
According to the LOC chairman, the meeting will take place in Lagos, precisely Marroit Hotels in Ikeja and the Executive Governor of the state, His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu will declare the event opened. 
Those expected to Grace the Occasion includes the Ministers in the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, National Assembly Members, Commissioners of Finance and Budget from the 36 state of the Federation, Organised private sector other critical stakeholders in the economic sector of the Nation.
At the meeting, issues related to how state government can align with the Federal Government on various issues of Economic concern and public sector Finance in the Post covid era to ensure policy consistency and effective implementation.
Some of the paper/topics to be presented at the meeeting are ” Delivery of Good Governance at National and Sub-national levels” to be delivered by the Former Governor of Gombe state and Former Accountant General of the Federation, H.E. Ibrahim H. Dakwambo; “Understanding the role of public sector Planning, Budgeting and Budget Monitoring” to be delivered by Mr Ben Akabueze, D.G. Budget Office Of the Federation; Rethinking Economic diversification in Nigeria” to be delivered by Alhaji Abubakar Abba Bello, Managing Director, Nigeria Export-Import Bank.
NACOFED was formed as a forum for members to discuss current socio-economic issues, and proffer a way forward for the Nigerian Economy on fiscal and monetary policy, especially in the Post covid era where the economy is gradually stretching out from the heavy impact of the pandemic. 
The forum serves as an avenue to share viable and realistic ideals that will lead to the streamlining of activities in the finance ministries at the Federal and State levels, as well as other financial institutions of relevance, including Government parastatals.
He welcomed all participants and critical stakeholders to the August meeting, wishing them a frutiful deliberation, productive outcomes and an eventful stay in the centre of Excellence.
