Chinese contractors run into trouble with Governor Bello Over Shabby Job – GBAMSBLOG
says pace and quality of work unacceptable
The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has bemoaned the contractors handling the renovation of the State’s Specialist Hospital, Lokoja for executing a below standard project while delaying the delivery of the project.
The Governor stated that his administration would never accept such shabby quality of work which he stated was largely below the standard of the project in his government while he expressed total displeasure with the concerned ministries and parastatals.
He stressed that it was unimaginable that his administration was spending so much funds with the quality of work ongoing adding that they have breached the part of the contract on delivery
The Governor gave the contractor a deadline till December to ensure that they correct every shabby work done while he promised to hold responsible those who recommended and certified the company for the job.
Governor Bello was on Thursday on a tour of ongoing projects across the state capital, Lokoja.
He expressed satisfaction on the quality of jobs done at Ganaja flyover and the GYB modern Science School. other projects inspected include the River Niger embankment projects along the old market , Kogi State Specialist Hospital renovation , GYB Modern Science School, Adankolo and other projects.
