NAKOSS ’21: Olajide Ibikunle Retreats From Presidential Race, Collapse Campaign Structure For Abraham Jacob, Appreciates Supporters

Aluta greetings to our dearest students of Kogi origin, Campaign Members of Team Jide4Nakoss, friends and family members, my supporters and every stakeholders of National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS National).
It gladdens my heart to know that we have as a team agitating for an increased welfare of NAKOSSites, pushed very hard in the course of our Campaign across Tertiary institutions both within and outside the State.
Our mandate remains one that is centered basically around prioritizing NAKOSSites welfare at this very point it becomes necessary to reiterate that we are not deterred in achieving this. Achieving this may not necessarily be that I must emerge as the National President of NAKOSS but it can be achieved through a harmonious efforts which to the glory of God, I have decided to join forces with Abraham Jacob a NAKOSS NATIONAL Presidential aspirant who hails from Mopamuro Local Government Area, Yagba Federal Constituency to ensure our mandate for the students becomes materialised.
We are from the same Federal Constituency and my Local Government being Yagba East LGA has had a turn in the NAKOSS National Presidency in the year 2007 in the person of High Chief Austin Banji Aiyelabowo. Judging from this, it becomes fair enough that i must remain fair and just by collapsing my Campaign structure to support Comr Abraham Jacob to become the sole NAKOSS Presidential candidate from Yagba Federal Constituency, so that we will go as a unified people in one voice to compliments the efforts of our Stakeholders who have long preached the importance of unity and oneness as well as equality for all.
I am happy that after our broad Campaign, I can boldly say that NAKOSSites will be in safe HANDS with the mandate given to Comr. Abraham Jacob.
We have come to a conclusion that whenever the Presidency falls back to Yagba Federal Constituency in the nearest future, Yagba West Local Government in Yagba Federal Constituency will be producing the next President. We must continue to allow every community of people enjoy equal participation and Inclusiveness at every given opportunity.
I am happy that my co NAKOSS National presidential aspirant from Yagba West Local have also agreed to collapse his structure in support of Abraham Jacob to field him as the sole candidate from Yagba Federal Constituency knowing fully well that the zoning of this NAKOSS NATIONAL PRESIDENT favours Yagba Federal Constituency according to the Rotational Arrangement reached by stakeholders of NAKOSS in Kogi West Senatorial Districts years back.
I have held several positions within and outside the state, I know what it means to be in power but i want us to know that POWER ARE GIVEN TO THOSE THAT DESTINED TO RULE, DON’T FIGHT IT.
I have fought for NAKOSS in time passed, i have been in the struggle for so long, i have contributed my own quota to the development of the state but this time, my sacrifice is for APAPO OMO YAGBA.
I want to urge my teaming supporters and everyone who have shown strong believe in Team Jide4Nakoss, to transfer same support for Comr Abraham Jacob as NAKOSS National President. I am strongly convinced that with him, NAKOSSites will remain in safe HANDS.
I hope that one day we will understand that there is power in unity and oneness. This is although a huge sacrifice, but in all honesty, it is worth it for the sake of our people. And I want our Political leaders to learn from our decision, this is important.
My stepping down was based on YAGBA INTEREST NOT INDIVIDUAL.
My appeal to those decision makers in government is to look critically into this gentle man arrangements and not to take decision that will truncate the unity already established.
Posterity will judge us all, we might no live to hear the reality of our story but our children will do.
For future reference, i want the general public to know that my community ISANLU PROGRESSIVE UNION did not raise or support my mandate with #1million naira in any form.
My ambition was birthed by me and i was ready to sponsor myself.
We will join hands to ensure that history favours us to give a good fight at the poll for Comr. Abraham Jacob.
To all delegates coming for the convention, please money given will finish but humans will remain. Go back to history, do your findings and make your stand.
Someone who has Human Relationship, Good Manner, Fair enough in Competence and Performance.
Remember, we are all for the government but support the man who will ensure your dividend is delivered.
