HON. LARA OLORUNSHOLA EMPOWERS STUDENTS AND WIDOWS AT OGIDI DAY FESTIVAL

The Councillor representing Ilare Igbolayere Ward in Ijumu Local Government empowered youths, students and widows in her ward, Ilare Igbolayere ward during the celebration of 2021 New Yam and Ogidi Day celebration.

The widows in their numbers were given bags of somovita, rice and token to alleviate their sufferings. The Councillor also presented note books to the students as a way of giving back to her ward.

In her remarks she appreciated the Executive Governor, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello for his policy of women inclusiveness which gave her the opportunity to be a Councillor today. She also appreciated the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alh. (Dr) Taufiq Isa for the  roles  he played during their struggle and his leadership qualities which serve as a role model.

The Councillor in her statements stated that the situations of women and youths in her ward was what motivated her to venture into politics so as to provide quality representation and dividends of democracy. She however, promised to do more and encouraged the people of the ward to support the government of Alh. Taufiq Isa and Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello and also the ambition of the governor in becoming the President of Nigeria in 2023.

The Supervisory Councillor for Works Hon.  Festus Alonge who was full of joy on the performance of the Councillor praised her doggedness for what she has done despite limited resources and supported her with the sum of Twenty Thousand Naira. (N20,000).

The widows and students were full of joy, thanked and prayed for the Councillor.
