The Executive Chairman of Kabba Bunu LG through the Director Of LG Mr. Alefemi Emmanuel take a proactive measure to tackle the selling of cow meat infected with diseases.
Bearly 24hours, information getting to the office of the Executive Chairman that cow infected with poison was brought to the market which he Swiftly moves into action, ordered the environmental officers to mount surveillance on them and at the end of the day, they were apprehended with an infected calf about to be a slaughter.
Sequence to the incident, the Executive Chairman through the Director of LG Mr. Alefemi Emmanuel, Local Govt Treasurer, Supervisor for Health and LG Health Officer call for a crucial meeting with the Executive of Butcher Association of Kabba Bunu LGA.
Director Of LG, Mr. Alefemi Emmanuel who spoke at the meeting, said he was very optimistic that the management and the environmental health Officer will not relent in their effort to do the needful for the safety of the life of our people.
Hon Ojo Damilare Johnson Health Supervisor said those who are involved in the devilish act should be dealt with to avoid others following the same step, which the LGT Mrs. Deborah Oladele also asked the Butcher to either release the member to us for prosecution or be sanctioned.
In conclusion, a resolution was made, that the person who brought in the poisonous cow should be dealt with, a certain amount of fine should be paid.
The Climax of the meeting was when Hon. Moses Approved that the Cow should be Chemicalise and buried immediately in the local government Secretariat.
In the same vein, it’s now against the law of the land to allow cows do not to vet and butchered in Kabba Bunu abattoir to be sold in Kabba Bunu LG.
