30th June, 2020.
It was with a heart full of deep sentiments of concern that I got the sad news about the departure of our Chief Judge Nasiru Ajanah from this terrestrial domicile. We prayed for his long life, but it has pleased Allah to call him at this time. May God accept the prayers we said for his survival now as our deposit for the repose of his soul.
No doubt one of the finest legal practitioners I have ever known has gone, without giving me the opportunity of saying good bye. We have all seen people come and go, but he’s is like none other to me. A flawless legal icon, who endeared himself to the people he came across through his rare humility and kindness. We all feel cheated by CJ Ajana’s passage and we will continue to miss him so dearly.
He was a personal friend and big brother, his humility was unbeatable as we even would crack jokes whenever we met. His exit is a great loss to the good people of Kogi State, especially his immediate family whom he treasured so much.
I encourage we he has left behind not just to grieve like those without hope, because he was a courageous symbol of everything good and chaste. Very close to perfection. Let us always remember how he lived his life and let that impact our lives. We can only immortalise him by living our lives the way he lived his.
I pray that Allah grants him Aljanah Firdaus.
Signed:
