The damage done by the Corona virus has affected the salaries of Kogi State Teachers who would be paid between 35 and 40 percent as salaries for April.
Kogi State Government has began the payment of April salaries to teachers. Recalled that state and local government staffers were paid 80% and 35% respectively. Political appiontees and the legislators were also paid 80%.
The payment of salaries of between 35% and 40% was confirmed by the NUT Chairman, Ayodele Thomas, said Inspite the efforts, government inability to get overdraft led to the slash in salaries.
